On October 18, 2024, Project Expedite Justice (PEJ) Executive Director Cynthia Tai, Legal and Program Director of Ukraine Pascal Turlan, and Ukraine Project Coordinator Alisa Goloschapova were awarded special medals for their service to Kharkiv and Ukraine by the Head of the Prosecution Office in Kharkiv.

The medals, engraved with the pre-war skyline of Kharkiv, were given in recognition of PEJ’s support for the Kharkiv Prosecution Office’s judicial work. Training, mentoring, and guidance from PEJ are empowering justice actors in Kharkiv and across Ukraine to seek redress for losses incurred during Russia’s war of aggression.
These awards demonstrate the value of PEJ’s efforts on behalf of our partners in Ukraine – which is truly the highest of honors.

PEJ’s work in Ukraine is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. We are grateful for the Foundation’s ongoing dedication to seeking justice for all those harmed by Russia’s illegal invasion.
